I have the livecd where you have to do everything the hard way I think, since this install has taken me forever

I use a sata and it has always worked, from the cd and also now that I'm on the hd.

SATA works fine on my home PC (nForce chipset), but not on this spanking new one we just bought for our office.

same problem for me. Asrock 4CoreDual-VSTA Board, Pentium D 945 CPU.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this? Or when will a new gentoo liveCD be released containing a kernel that can access VIA SATA devices??
