I have the livecd where you have to do everything the hard way I think, since this install has taken me forever
I use a sata and it has always worked, from the cd and also now that I'm on the hd. |

SATA works fine on my home PC (nForce chipset), but not on this spanking new one we just bought for our office. |

same problem for me. Asrock 4CoreDual-VSTA Board, Pentium D 945 CPU.
I'm using minimal live cd for AMD64 architecture.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this? Or when will a new gentoo liveCD be released containing a kernel that can access VIA SATA devices?? |
