|
|
Greetins. As the title says, I can't burn audio CDs.
Well, I can burn them, but they doesn't work: all I get is a CD that when I insert it in the discman or in any cd player I can use, it doesn't play. The cd player usually can read the duration of the CD, and the number of tracks, but they can't play, they try to read and read and read, but can't play.
I have tried everything: k3b, graveman, gnomebaker, bashburn, cdrecord, cdrdao, any burning app you can imagine. But noone works. Any other type of CD or DVD that I burn works.
My burner is a DVD-RW LG, but I don't know the exact model.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. _________________ I cannot write English very well. Please, correct any mistake so that I can improve. |

This could be a compatibility problem.
- Does the CD writer read it?
- Do you have a second CD drive in your box to check?
- Try burning at the slowest speed.

- The DVD-CD writer can read. It can read even those Audio CDs burned with it that CD Players can't.
- The same happens with the DVD reader in my box.
- I've tried lowest speed burning already, with no positive results.
I forgot to mention this before, a CD writer I had months ago before I bought the DVD writer had the same problem. This only happens in linux, not in windows. _________________ I cannot write English very well. Please, correct any mistake so that I can improve. |

Is dma on? Code: | # hdparm -d /dev/hdc |
If it is, have you tried turning it off? Code: | # hdparm -d0 /dev/hdc |
