|
|
I'm trying to emerge open office and I get:
Code: | /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.1.1/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: obj/gcc/so/dll_main.o: relocation R_X86_64_32 against `guard variable for stlp_std::_Atomic_swap_struct<1>::_S_swap_lock' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
obj/gcc/so/dll_main.o: could not read symbols: Bad value
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [obj/gcc/so/libstlport.so.5.1.0] Error 1
make: Leaving directory `/portage/tmp/portage/STLport-5.1.0/work/STLport-5.1.0/build/lib'
!!! ERROR: dev-libs/STLport-5.1.0 failed.

ebuild.sh, line 1539: Called dyn_compile
ebuild.sh, line 939: Called src_compile

!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.

On a different thread I read:
Quote: | I fixed it by running emerge --update --newuse --deep world. After finishing the update, I was able to emerge SLTport without an issue. |
I tried that but it also tumbles over SLTport. How can I get past. |

If it fails anywhere
Code: | emerge --resume --skipfirst |
Come back to which packages failed and chances are they will build when everything else is done. _________________ - Failure is not an option. It's bundled with your software. |

Oeps...
I did the emerge ... world thing. Only to see that now about 10 packages still need to remerge. Only thing is they're stuck wit libexpat.so.0
I tried emerge dev-lib/expat no success
reading I saw the command revdep-rebuild. But I cann't find it. Anyone know where it is?
UPDATE
in the mean time in did emerge =dev-libs/expat-1.95.8 which now is install the leftovers |
