The app was installed(it was installed with audacious 1.2.1), but did not appear the option of the docket in audacious preferences, I just re-emerged it and now it is working well.

Is there a way to have audacious in the systray only with the docklet? I have the plugin enabled but it's still taking up space on my task bar, I want it in the system tray like gaim and noatun goes when you close it.

Just click on the systray icon.

Note that the docklet isn't a very stable plugin (that's really the friendliest way I can say it).
For this reason, audacious 1.3 will have its own status icon bundled with it. If you want to give it a try, be on the lookout for a masked 1.3 alpha 4 in the tree (which won't be long).

I've got 1.3 running, and I've enabled the doclet. I'm still not getting an option to add it to the panel? Do I need to rebuild gnome-panel? Add anything to make.conf? Etc ???? :?:

The status icon plugin is not audacious-docklet, or related to that in any way, shape, or form. It provides a systray plugin only. Docklet also only provides a systray plugin only.

If you do not have a systray icon, then you should report a bug at http://bugs-meta.atheme.org under the audacious-plugins product.
