In the past i just had to rm .gnome* from my Home-Dir but that doesn't work anymore.
Does anyone know where the configs have gone???

Depending on the components you've installed and how much you want to reset, lots of places.
For starters: .gnome*, .gconf*, .local, .config, .fonts, .icons, .themes, .metacity, .nautilus, and .beagle

Make backups before experimenting, not all of these are easily restored....
