|
|
Suddenly I can't edit any settings or items in Evolution, the Ok or Save button never activates. I've tried this on e-mail accounts, calendar meetings etc.
It is not a permission problem since:
1) I can add new email accounts/meetings with no problem, but when I try to edit them, the ok/save is always inactive.
2) With meeting, I can close the window, and a dialog pops up asking me if I want to save it or not, wich works fine.
I've tried to revdep-rebuild (no associated libraries were broken) and re-emerging evolution several times. Can anyone please confirm wether or not they are able to edit items in Evolution? |

Hi, I am on amd64. I use gnome-light, the newest unstable portage and evolution.
Just for reference: I don*t have any problems with evolution.
Code: |
notebook roman # emerge -pv evolution evolution-data-server

Thank you for your response, my system is the same, except for being on ~x86. |

You get a lot of troubles running a unstable arch. I have seen that recently one day ago with mesa and freeglut/glut packages. It*s hell.
I use some overlays and these overlays cause troubles quite frequently.

Same thing here, using evolution-2.8.3, evolution-data-server-1.8.3 and evolution-exchange-2.8.3, I am not able to change any account settings, because of the "OK" Button being disabled. I will try downgrading to evolution-2.8.2-r1...
Seems like a bug according to https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=166740 |

As mentioned at bugs.gentoo.org, downgrading to evolution-2.8.2-r1 (and only the evolution main package) works for me. I can now change the account settings again... Seems we have to wait for the next minor bugfix. |
