hey ppl

i have been running gentoo for 2 years now and have a big problem.

i have a 200gb disk, its my only hd, and i am still stuck with 180 gb of the evil ntfs file system, it seriously impacts the performance of my system, it basically sucks.
i want to get rid of the ntfs, and convert it to ext3.
however i have 150gb of data on the ntfs disk, witch i run under ntfs-3g, and have nowhere to backup them.

i have had a look at some partitioning software(qtparted), they say it is capable of doing it, but it is not even capable of figuring out how mutch free space i have on the ntfs partition, so i dont really trust it to resize my partition without losing data.

so my question is, is there any way to convert my 180gb ntfs partition to ext3 withount losing my 150bg of data?
converting?
resizing, moving resizing?

this is the last step for me to totally convert to linux, if i found a safe way to do it i would be a great relief for me to get rid of the last remains of the bill gates virus.

partition table:

hda1 Primary Linux ext3 98.71mb
hda3 Primary Linux swap / Solaris 1019.94mb
hda4 Primary Linux ext3 9368.60mb
hda2 Primary NTFS [^V] 189559.81mb

I suggest to buy a cheap storage to back it up. It*s only a fact of 100€. Not much money, really. I have had no problems at all with the gparted live-cd. Consider to have a backup, so you will need at least a second disk which is greater as the old disk.
