werte spezialisten, habe ein problem mit nfs und bitte daher im hilfestellung.
zuerst mein system:
hardware:
server -> Ethernet controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT6102 [Rhine-II] (rev 7
clients -> Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8169 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 10)
server und clients (3 stück) haben nfsv3 im kernel fix drin
clients mounten 2 verzeichnisse:
/home/xxx (rw,sync,all_squash,anonuid=1000,anongid=1000)
/home/yyy (ro,async,all_squash,anonuid=65534,anongid=65534)
folgendes szenario, clients arbeiten als webserver und server anzunehmenderweise als fileserver 
client 1) keine probleme, /home/xxx und yyy lassen sich immer korrekt auflisten
client 2,3) läuft anfangs auch einwandfrei, plötzlich sinkt die auslastung auf 0, apache prozesse bleiben erhalten, bedienen
aber keine anfragen mehr. /home/xxx läßt sich nicht mehr auflisten und auch nicht unmounten, /home/yyy jedoch schon.
apache läßt sich nicht mehr stoppen, portmap und nfs nicht neustarten, hilft nur ein reboot.
leider hab ich keine ahnung mehr wo ich noch nach fehlern suchen soll,
vielleicht kann mir ja jemand einen tipp geben, danke |

schonmal 'async' getestet?
Die 'sync' Variante führte bei mir mal zu ähnlichen Problemen...

danke für deine antwort, habs jetzt mal so eingestellt.
was mir noch aufgefallen ist, ist folgendes:
genau zum zeitpunkt wo der apache seinen letzten log eintrag schreibt, taucht
am nfs server folgende log meldung auf:
Feb 12 15:26:38 ares2 nfs: server 1.2.3.4 not responding, still trying
Feb 12 15:26:38 ares2 nfs: server 1.2.3.4 not responding, still trying |

gleiches problem mit async 
noch ein zusatz:
es hat eigentlich bis vor einer woche problemlos funktioniert, dann gings ganz plötzlich
mit den problemen los.
Könnte das ein hardwareproblem auf serverseite sein? Aber warum klappts dann bei client1
und bei 2,3 nicht.  |

danke für den hinweis.
habe jetzt beim fileserver eine realtek karte verbauen lassen, mal schaun was passiert.
wenns nix bringt versuch ich mal deinen ansatz |
