Today I left my computer updating the world (ran emerge -uNDva world) and when I came back I had no connection to Internet. I updated all the configuration files and checked they were ok. After that I rebooted my system and when it restarted the problem was still there.
When I run lspci I can see my network card (a Realtek 8139). I can also see with lsmod the module 8139too loaded. When I try to run dhcpcd it just "stays" there running and nothing happens (I tailed -f /var/log/messages and I see it running showing my network card MAC address but nothing else). My /etc/conf.d/net is ok. When I ping 127.0.0.1 it works fine, but if just try to access my router it doesn't work either! I'm going crazy right now. I also tried to rmmod 8139too, modprobe 8139too, ifconfig eth0 up and dhcpcd but it didn't solve anything.
Now I'm on Windoze (I wanted to test if Internet worked and needed to post here) so I can't see any information on Linux, but if you do need anything to help me, just ask me and I'll restart on Gentoo.
I'd be glad if you could help me on this, guys!

I don't know if something I did worked, but when I decided to go back to Gentoo pretty angry, it just misteriously worked ![Confused :?](images/smiles/icon_confused.gif) |
