[NOTE] gnome has continued installing, now i am just trying to find out how to fix this error[/NOTE]
i have just installed gentoo form the 2006.1 minimal install cd. this is my 5th or 6th build from this same cd on this same computer within the last month or so as ive been getting comfortable with the install process. on the 2nd install i installed gnome successfully.
im following "the GNOME configuration HOWTO" from gentoo.org
my USE flags in make.conf are (from memory)
Code: | "gnome gtk -kde -qt3 -qt4 dvd" |
and i ran the command (from the gnome guide)
Code: | echo "gnome-base/gnome-session branding" >> /etc/portage/package.use |
and then
and it has been running since yesterday on a pentium 3 633mhz which is normal.
but i noticed about an hour ago it complaining
"libtool: link: warning: '/usr/lib/gcc/i386-pc-linux-gnu/4.1.1/ ../ ../ ..//" then a file name and then complains that "it seems to be moved"
what is causing this? and how can i resolve it?
[EDIT] gnome has continued to install but this error still worries me, will it cause problems later on in the future?[/EDIT]
this is not urgent as gnome appears to be working, but any help is appreachiated.
thanks again, Ducky. |

I don't know what causes this warning but I've seen it a lot and it's never caused me a problem.
