I added the composite extension to my xorg.conf, and I am using xfce4 and the only main differences i see is shadowing and transparency to the xfce4panel however not to the windows. Is there a manager or more functions to this composite? |

Xfwm 4.2 does not come with a very fancy compositioning manager. If I recall correctly, you can adjust the transparency of a window by pressing alt and scrolling on the titlebar. You can also set move_opacity and resize_opacity in ~/.config/xfce4/xfwm4/xfwm4rc with a value between 0 (transparent) and 100 (opaque).
If you want a fancier compositor, you should upgrade to Xfce 4.4. _________________ www.gentoo.org.au || #gentoo-au |
