I just can't get a gnome player working. I used to have banshee 0.13 working fine, then I updated my system and...

banshee 0.16
Code:
An unhandled exception was thrown: Unable to open the system message bus.

  at NDesk.DBus.Bus.get_System () [0x00000]
  at NDesk.DBus.BusG.Init () [0x00000]
  at Banshee.BansheeEntry.Startup (System.String[] args) [0x00000]
  at (wrapper delegate-invoke) System.MulticastDelegate:invoke_void_string[] (string[])
  at Banshee.Gui.CleanRoomStartup.Startup (Banshee.Gui.StartupInvocationHandler startup, System.String[] args) [0x00000]
.NET Version: 2.0.50727.42

Now I only have 0.15 and 0.16 ebuild and both gives me different errors. So I tried first by emerging quodlibet

quodlibet 0.24-r1
Code:
ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/gst-0.10/gst/_gst.so: undefined symbol: libxml_xmlDocPtrWrap

and them exaile
exaile
File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/gst-0.10/gst/__init__.py", line 108, in ?
from _gst import *
ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/gst-0.10/gst/_gst.so: undefined symbol: libxml_xmlDocPtrWrap

libxml and libxml2 are installed.

Any suggestions?

I used it already. I also tried to recompile all of them.

First try to disable the LDFLAGS (mine are cleared, no problem)
And the second, is to change from hardened(if is your case, mine was) from vanilla.

Hope that helps, it worked with me :D
