Software RAID Level 1 document or walkthrough recommendation

Any good readme's or walkthroughs that are Gentoo specific for creating software RAID Level 1 arrays? I could dive straight in, but I wanted to stay away from any documents that are 3+ years old and outdated.

That walkthrough is designed for a new install, what about an existing one?
