Bonjour, j'ai suivi ce how to, j'essaye d'éviter de poster en général (mais surtout ici car je suis pas apprécier), mais j'ai mit down mon dédier pendant toute une journée:

J'ai ensuite demander de l'aide mais personne n'as pu m'aider, alors je m'explique:
avec l'install cd amd64 2006.1: ls /dev/mapper me donne que control
et
l'install cd amd64 2006.0: plante directement et il me demande un truc ou shell
Ma config AMD64 X2, avec contrôleur raid: nforce4, avec bios bien configurer pour le raid5. Boot par lecteur cd en usb. 4x320 en raid5. J'ai bien passer au noyau dodmraid.
J'aimerai largement ce type de raid, car le raid logiciel, j'ai jamais pratiquer, et ça me parait chaud, et j'ai déjà prévu dans ma petite tête mon partitionnement, donc c'est plus claire si je vois mon raid comme un seul truc. Merci de votre aide.

Je n'y connais pas grand-chose -- j'avais juste un RAID-1 pendant un bout de temps.
Ceci dit, voici ce que je te conseille : fais de la recherche pour savoir si tu as un *VRAI* RAID hardware ou non. La plupart du temps c'est pas vraiment hardware, juste du soft camoufle (c'est moins cher que du vrai RAID hardware).
Ensuite.. Reviens et on t'aidera un peu plus!
[edit : j'ai un systeme similaire qui est en train de se faire construire par un pote. Je n'aurai pas le probleme de RAID car je ne vais pas monter mon systeme comme ca -- j'ai un disque dur 500 gigas -- mais je pourrai peut-etre t'aider un peu ]

Le NForce4 est un RAID logiciel maquillé, rien de plus.

En fesant mais recher j'ai vu que c'ete un raid logiceil cacher, mais helas les carte qui suporte le raid5 pour 4 hdd coute trop chere, mais ça me dérange pas je veux seulement que je gere sous mon nux mais 4 disk dur comme un seul, en raid5 biensur.
Je tente un raid0 logiciel vu que j'ai rien a faire, si je met que / en raid0, par ce system:

Le RAID logiciel de nux se fait au niveau partition, pas disque comme un RAID hardware.
Attention aussi à laisser la partition /boot sur du RAID 1 ou sans RAID, sinon pas bon pas bon... (c'est dans la doc gentoo que tu pointes, il me semble)

J'avour qu'un raid hdd est simple a comprendre mais bon, la au moin j'ai pour / du raid0 et pour /boot du raid1, je vais passer par la vu que je peu pas faire autrement, sauf si quelqu'un sait comment faire marcher le raid de mon chipset.
EDIT: j'ai essayer l'install cd 2006.0 car j'ai vu dans un howto que le 2006.1 et buger pour le raid pour chipset. |

Il me dit que mon raid ne peu pas etre trouver dans le bios, mais c'est normal vu qu'il existe pas reelement, grub je sais m'en servir tant qu'il n'y a pas de raid, mais la le raid bloque tout. |

Salut,
Ce qu'il est possible de faire : /boot en raid1.
On installe un grub principal qui pointe sur /boot de hd0 et un second grub de backup qui pointe sur hd1. Celà donne un truc du genre :

Si un disque meurt, on peut toujours booter sur l'autre. |

Je peu pas installer grub ni en raid1 ni en normal.

Normalement (ebuild) il se copie tout seul quand tu installes grub.
Si tu fais des manipulations sur /boot, c'est à toi de copier les stages.
Il se trouve quelque part dans /usr...

Truc bizard, j'ai monter /boot, je vais sous le chroot, et cfdisk me met que c'est pas formater, alors quand je formate sous (et seulement sous) le chroot ça marche. Et donc grub s'installe. Mais la j'ai fichier non trouver erreur 15.
C'est gentoo qui merde? car le formatage marche que sous le chroot.
EDIT j'y suis presque, car il boot, il bloque a monting root, que faire? Je continu a chercher de mon coter...
Mounting /dev/md1 on /newroot failed: input/ouput error.
EDIT2: un cat /proc/mdstats sous la busybox donne rien... |
