Can't get online [Solved]

Well, I've just reinstalled things onto my a new SATA drive, and sorted everything out pretty much. But alas, a new problem turns up. I cannot connect to my router. When I do dhcpcd eth0 I see the router's Ethernet led blinks, so there is some communication, but dhcpcd just hangs. I know the network should be fine, because I can get online from the livecd. I have no clue whats going on, so any help would be very welcome :/
Edit: I'd just like to add it did work earlier today, at one boot it simply failed initializing the network (bringing eth0 up).

Update: Whew, tracked it down to a kernel problem (no idea what though). Recompiling the kernel did wonders.
