| I used the MythTv ebuild from their website to install it. When I try to run the setup program is says it cannot connect to the X server. I emerged XFree successfully. What do I have to do? |

| I think you have to actually be in X to run the setup program (choose your favorite window manager). |

You do have to be in X just like handsomepete said.
You have to get X setup....using BLACKBOX, Gnome, KDE,Enlightenment....and so on....pick one. Blackbox I believe is the simplest. Also it is small. Short download time. |
