I am trying to play a .wma in banshee but i need the wma codec, not sure how to get this. |

I believe you need the win32codecs package to read wma, wmv, asf etc... not 100% sure if you need special use flags in banshee to use other codecs but I'm fairly certain win32codecs contains the proper codecs. |

I installed the win32 codecs and i am able to play .wma files on audacious but not on banshee.
It should be added that I am using a 64 bit gentoo. |

same annoying problem for me, in x86
mplayer works fine,
win32codecs arte in global use flags...
i recompiled grstreamer and fluendo and emerge -auvDN world, after emerge banshee
no way to read those codecs.
can t find anything in the net.
