|
|
Hi,
I just installed beryl-0.1.4 following http://wiki.gentoo-xeffects.org/Beryl . But if I use beryl as KDEWM (KDEWM=beryl), my windows have no decorations, and I cannot move and resize them. Nevertheless the beryl visual effects works fine. I tried to choose a theme using emerald-theme-manager, but nothing happened when I choose a theme.
My video card is nVidia 7600GS.
My xorg-server is compiled with aixgl USE flag.
In my xorg.conf file:
Code: | ...
Section "Module"
Load "dbe"
Load "glx"
Load "extmod"
Load "type1"
Load "freetype"
EndSection
...
Section "Device"
...
Driver "nvidia"
...
EndSection
...
Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Enable"
EndSection
... |
Versions:
gentoo-sources: 2.6.19-r5
nvidia-drivers: 1.0.9746
xorg-x11: 7.1
kde: 3.5.5
Any help please!... 10x

I'm no expert on KDE but have you tried selecting different window decorators through beryl-manager? |

Yes I tried. The beryl-manager tray icon menu contains three items about decorations:
1. Emerald theme manager
2. Reload Window Decorator
3. Select Window Decorator
- Standard Beryl Decorator (Emerald)
- GTK Window Decorator
Nothing works. |

Have you tried installing Aquamarine(Uses KWIN themes in Beryl) and giving that a try? |

I already tried.
I can't find aquamarine in Gentoo portage tree, so I installed it manualy, but it doesn't help. |

See I had this same issue in KDE which is why I went back to XFce4. But I had this with the latest Beryl too. |
