|

I'm interested in using citadel on my server as a way to be able to access my email, calendar, etc, while away from home. I've installed it, but don't see anyway to set citadel up to retrieve pop email and such. I believe I need to setup the mail server separately (say, using fetchmail and courier, maybe), and then citadel can access the mail folders to present mail.
Is this correct, or am I missing something? Thanks. _________________ "The problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so sure of themselves while wiser people are so full of doubt."

Well, I didn't have much luck getting citadel working. I can use fetchmail to retrieve email, but getting it setup to send email via my DSL service proved more complicated than I expected, and I couldn't find documentation to help me much.
With the nice write-ups on gentoo about how to setup a mail server, such as
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-539101-highlight-.html which was just posted, I think I'll just try and setup a "typical" mail server.
Assuming I get this sorted out, any suggestions on what groupware I should use to add scheduling and tasks, and access this remotely on my client machines? I need a web interface for when I'm travelling, but might like a more versatile thin client too. Thanks. _________________ "The problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so sure of themselves while wiser people are so full of doubt."
