|
|
I am trying to emulate Nintendo 64 games but I can't. Every time I open them it just say's "Couldn't load ROM!".
I have tried a few ROMs, they all have .7z endings and are from the same site since I can't find any others. When I try to load it, it just says this in the console:
Quote: | rom size: 11102837 bytes (or 10 Mb or 80 Megabits) |
I also don't have any audio configured on my computer since I don't know how, would that be a problem? |

How can I uncompress 7z files or Where can I get ROMs that aren't compressed? |

Try other plugins.
And do you have 3D acceleration enabled? |

The best way to check is running "glxinfo | grep direct" - if it says "direct rendering: Yes", it works. |

Of course you may ask; as I heard it's illegal if you don't own the original game. |

Have you looked in Options -> Configure -> Plugins -> Gfx Plugin?
If there is really only one plugin, you should have a look if there are other plugins available in Portage, or otherwise you can download the package from here, which should have more plugins by default. |
