Hi,

I have a problem with console switching after i use X-windows.
The problem is, when i try to switch between consoles, (Alt+F2, F3 ...) it takes about 3 sec. before the switch is made.
This problem accours only after i have run X-windows. If i just log in without starting X and try switching, there is no problem.
I have two monitors connected, one Dell LCD connected with DVI and a plasma TV connected with standard VGA.
The 3 sec delay applies only to the LCD monitor, the plasma switches right away, but the LCD hangs for about 3 sec.
I use built in vesa-tng framebuffer in Kernel 2.6.19.

Can anyone help me? :)

I think that this is usual. Switching from graphical mode to text mode and vice-versa is a pretty complicated process, and your video card and its driver have a lot of communication going on when it happens. The 2-3 second delay is what I've seen with all my computers.
