wpa_supplicant issue?

Hi Folks;

I'm trying to compile wpa_supplicant 4.1.4 and it's been going for roughly the past 12 hours and repeats the following message:

Warning: file 'corelib.pro' has modification time 7.7e+07 in the future

What's the problem or should I just wait?

No, don't wait. Kill it. But what's the deal with wpa_supplicant 4.1.4? That version doesn't exist. The latest release was 0.5.7, and the highest marked stable in portage is 0.5.4.

Woops, my bad. 4.1.4 is the version of the tar file I downloaded, qt-x11-opensource-4.1.4.tar :oops:

Version 0.4.9

OK, I'll give that a whirl but what is the significance of Warning: file 'corelib.pro' has modification time 7.7e+07 in the future?

I don't really know. It may be just some random error caused the file to get some weird modification time, or maybe the tarball got corrupted during the download. Did you try to compile it more than once? That version might even compile fine, if you tried again. You could try deleting the source from /usr/portage/distfiles to make it re-fetch the file. Another possiblity is that there are some filesystem errors.

I had not been able to get online to update my system so when I finally got to a wired connection syncing the system and re-emerging wpa_supplicant worked.
