hmm, with "patch".
place the file you want to apply to the kernel sources in /usr/src.
normally you will need to do something like "patch -p0 <patchfile".
if you do not already have the patch itself but want to get it out from a modified source file you can do that with "diff -u". |

Thanks alex.blackbit for the quick reply. I've linux-2.6.19-suspend2-r2 currently & want to add this patch http://openvz.org/download/kernel/devel/
Does the versions matter? The patch was ment for 2.6.18[/url] |

to make sure you should download the .18 sources and compare the files you want to patch.
if you don't... patch may tell you if there are wrong offsets in the file or if it changed too much.
but i would compare it... |
