During the boot strap process I see a lot of the following message: /usr/sbin/MAKEDEV: can't read /proc/devices The install is still running, so I don't know if it will work yet, but I thought I'd post this to see if anyone else had seen the same thing.

Did you mount --bind /proc /mnt/gentoo/proc?
