Ok, yeah... trying to abolish my Windows use, in such... is my thriving addiction to Blizz's Abomination, Also known as World of Warcraft
now... my Rig is not, by any means a god, but it is well capable of running this game well... so...
i have a copy of Cedega 5.2.9
now, is it possible to get this game to run perfectly? _________________ AMD 64 3500+ (AM2) @ 2.2GHZ,1GB corsair DDR2 667mhz,MSI Nforce 550,Leadtek 7800GT 256mb DDR3

I play it and have absolutely no problems whatsoever. Using the newest version of Cedega you should be able to install it, patch it, install Burning Crusade, path it, and play it very easily. I personally recommend using Opengl mode as that will eliminate some graphical glitches that occur in directx mode. Directions for doing that can be found here:
http://cedegawiki.sweetleafstudios.com/wiki/World_of_Warcraft#How_to_use_OpenGL_Rendering
I also recommend using ALSA for your sound as I have found it to be much more reliable. I also recommend a PCI sound card with hardware DSP (such as the common SB Live! 5.1 cards and most other emu10k1 cards.) This will allow you to easily use TeamSpeak and play music while also playing WoW.
It has been found that the majority of users find the settings found in the following post to be the best:

I also recommend setting your winver to Windows 98. Good luck. If you have any problems let me know. I regularly help people with problems on the Transgaming forum.
P.S. I also play Guild Wars with no problems. _________________ Gentoo Gaming Videos |

I'm using wine 0.9.31 here. Game works fine, expansion and all, using -opengl.
(I've read reports of people having trouble installing from cdrom when using wine. The fix is to copy the files from all the CDs to a directory and then install from there.)
Edit: Hyper_Eye types a lot faster than I do |

You should disable Beryl when running WoW as it will cause a major hit to your fps. _________________ Gentoo Gaming Videos |

If you kill Beryl when running WoW you should be able to run at 1280x1024 no problem. Ventrillo can be difficult. I run a TeamSpeak server and use the native TS Linux client and it is much better. _________________ Gentoo Gaming Videos |
