amsn fonts (not about antialiasing)

I have successfully installed the whole package, tcl 8.5, tk 8.5, and amsn 0.96 in my amd64 gentoo machine.

however, some fonts do look a bit weird.

At least for 2 friends. One is using a Lucida fonts and his font looks much bigger in amsn than it does in msn messenger live.

then i have another friend that due to his font the letter "e" looks blurry. I've changed subpixel hinting but that would just mess up ALL of the other fonts (infcluding those i view on firefox) so is there a way to fix these two problems?

BTW, I've also fc-cache all of my windows fonts (im in dual boot)
