|
|
Hi.
I get '404 Not Found's when using cups' web interface.
Eg. if I try to load http://localhost:631/ I get a 404.
If I load http://localhost:631/printers I get a page but it's ugly because various other files can't be loaded, eg http://localhost:631/images/tab-left.gif is 404'd.
It's been a long while since I actually used the web interface but it has worked at some point in the past.
Any ideas what to check? I've done a straight re-emerge of cups but that didn't help by itself.
Cheers
UBob.

The error_log starts with about 9000 lines of the cupsdAuthorize error, note that this error doesn't occur on a cupsd restart now, and there has been at least one machine reboot since the 21st which was the last time it occurred.
I tried using Require @SYSTEM, that prevents cupsd from restarting with an unknown directive error.
I changed the SystemGroup to root from lp, that gets rid of the warning but doesn't seem to make any difference to my problem.
Code: | E [21/Feb/2007:09:43:49 +1300] cupsdAuthorize: Local authentication certificate not found!

Hello, I just had the same problem. Looks like the cups html pages moved. In your cupsd.conf file, change this:
Code: | DocumentRoot /usr/share/cups/docs |
To this:
Code: | DocumentRoot /usr/share/cups/html |
That seems to have worked for me.
Thanks. |
