I am having problems to connect to gtalk with kopete. I set it up as needed, port 5223 and i get error there was connection error: host not found. Connection problem with jabber server talk.gmail.com

So, this led me to search google and i found this link http://www.kde-forum.org/thread.php?threadid=14858where someone recommends the program gtalkphone. I followed the link that is mentioned http://www.gtalkphone.com/ just to see that in the download section there is a windows program to download (.exe). Someone knows of a linux version of this program? If there isn't such a linux program, what are other alternatives that work with voice. I would like to get rid of buggy skype.

Also someone knows how can i solve the error of gtalk in kopete?

Well i will go ahead and tell you i dont know the answer for gtalk... But gizmo project is a great alternative.

where someone asked for an ebuild on it, doesnt seem to have gone anywhere. Perhaps you can get it going on yr own? Its available for download here:
