Hi there,
yes there are people like me complaining about a game running too fast
I recently had to reinstall my Gentoo-Box, and now i have the problem that UT2004 is much too fast - not playable. The sound is fine.
All my other Games like doom3, quake3 & 4 are running fine.
Oh I forgot to mention, that before my reinstall everything was ok, so i think the hardware is not the culprit.

Paul, brought me in the right direction. I recompiled my Kernel ( 2.6.19-gentoo-r5) with following changed options:
Preemptible Kernel (Low-Latency Desktop) (PREEMPT)
Timer Frequency 1000Hz instead of 100Hz
and this did the trick
thx Paul
