My system freezes shortly after mounting my systemroot, which is in xfs. I booted from the gentoo minimal cd 2006.1, but the system freezes if i mount the system partition. I ran xfs_check and xfs_repair -L sucessfully, but still the system freezes shortly after mounting the partiton. For any command i entered gentoo returns that it cannot find the path (bash: /bin/mount: No such file or directory). This happens even when i boot from cd and mount my system partition.
I found a thread with this link:
http://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/faq.html#dir2
Unfortunatly i am running this kernel version and the gentoo minimal cd still has the same kernel version. Is there a way to recover my system or did i simply loose my gentoo installtion? |
