|
|
Hello everybody.
I have got a strange problem: I can mount devices/network shares as a user but I cannot unmount them!
For example there are the following two entries in my /etc/fstab:
Code: |
/dev/sdb1 /mnt/handy auto noauto,user 0 1
192.168.1.103:/media/music /mnt/music nfs noauto,user 0 1
|
I can mount both of them as a user (in groups=10(wheel),18(audio),19(cdrom),27(video),35(games),100(users),442(plugdev))
The mount points are both owned by root and have permisisons "755".
There are hal/dbus installed and running on my (kde 3.5.6) system. Maybe these are causing troubles.
Code: |
[ebuild R ] sys-apps/dbus-1.0.2-r1 USE="X -debug -doc (-selinux)"
[ebuild R ] sys-apps/hal-0.5.7.1-r5 USE="acpi crypt pcmcia -debug -dmi -doc (-selinux)"
|
There is another problem occuring when double clicking on device icons of the kde desktop.
First double click: The Konqueror window is opened but shows an empty folder (e.g. media://nfs_1)
Second opening: An error message occurs, telling me that the folder is alreay mounted (which indeed is the case, as it is accessible via Konqueror by entering the location of the mount point /mnt/music)
Anyone found a solution to one of the two problems or could tell me what might be wrong?

what's the error? Can you umount as root?
(Is it disallowing unmount because resource is still being used, or is it because you have no permissions to do it?) _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

I can unmount is as root user. The error message says, that only root is allowed to unmount the device.
Sorry, i forgot to mention that. ![Wink ;)](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) _________________ The message is Feierei, alder! The message is Gude Laune, alder! [Sven] |

Sorry for double posting, but the problem still persists. Plus it is very annoying.
Doesn't anyone have at least an idea? Thank you very much! _________________ The message is Feierei, alder! The message is Gude Laune, alder! [Sven] |
