Recently, I noticed that my Really Slick Screensavers have stopped showing up in the xscreensaver selections. Although the emerge log for rss-glx-0.8.1-r4 says "Adding Really Slick Screensavers to XScreenSaver", the xscreensaver-5.01-r2 log says "In XScreenSaver 5.00 API was changed. All third party screen savers need to be ported to the new API. Until then they will not work." Does anyone know if rss-glx-0.8.1-r4 includes the new API?
My other GL screensavers work and rss-glx has the xscreensaver use flag.

There must be some special way to emerge with a modified ebuild because it just unpacks the old ebuild and overwrites the changes. I copied skyrocket.desktop from /usr/share/applications to /usr/kde/3.5/share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers and now I have my Skyrocket back. The bug talks about /usr/kde/3.5/share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers being deprecated but it's still full of all the other screensavers. Oh, well.
Thanks for your help. |

/usr/kde/3.5/share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers is deprecated. _________________ Si algo falla LEE el jodido manual, Si sigue fallando LEE BIEN el jodido manual. |
