Hi,
I dont know why the system clock is always one hour up. During the system boot, I get the message
"Setting system clock using hardware clock [UTC] OK"
The hardware clock is correct and I am not using a dual boot.
I've copied the correct timezone (cp /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Berlin /etc/localtime) as described in the localization guide (http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/guide-localization.xml)
and the needed values in /etc/conf.d/clock are set to
CLOCK="UTC"
TIMEZONE="Europe/Berlin"
It s getting on my nerves to always set the date by date in the root console after system start. |

Sorry if it sounds obvious, but when you are saying that the hardware clock is ok, do you mean it is GMT or is it set to your time zone? If it is set to your time zone, the system will consider it as GMT, and add another hour as your timezone is GMT+1.
Or you could use ntp :p |
