Emerged kdelibs-3.5.6-r3 & amarok-1.4.5-r1 recently.
Now Amarok refuses to start.
This problem has arised for me before. Solved it by using stable.
But now, the unstable has become stable and i'm fucked.
When running in console I get
Code: | Amarok: [Loader] Starting amarokapp..
Amarok: [Loader] Don't run gdb, valgrind, etc. against this binary! Use amarokapp.

Well, and the popup complains about faulty Prefix and yadayda.
Looking at where amarok is installed. Surprisingly I find it in /usr and not in /usr/kde-3.5.
I've checked previous threads about this very issue, but, nothing seems to fix it. If I want to use Amarok, I suppose I have to install it manually.
Or!
Do any of you gurus have a better suggestion?
Edit:
Fixed it...
Using source did not do it. But I did reemerged xine-lib, gstreamer & amarok (in that order) and the problem is no more _________________ Gentoo-n00b |
