Hello all. I recently updated audacious and have been unable to run it since. Below are the messages I'm receiving:
Code:
GTK Accessibility Module initialized
Failed to load plugin (/usr/lib/audacious/Output/libcrossfade.so): /usr/lib/audacious/Output/libcrossfade.so: undefined symbol: bmp_playback_get_playing

*For space considerations I truncated the memory map.

I've tried re-emerging audacious-crossfade and even removing it. When removed I still got the glibc error. I have tried rebuilding both glibc and audacious, but with no success. Below is emerge information about audacious and my system:
Code:

Have you also updated audacious-plugins?

Yup:
Code:
Mon Mar  5 10:14:57 2007 >>> media-sound/audacious-1.3.0-r1
Mon Mar  5 11:08:26 2007 >>> media-plugins/audacious-plugins-1.3.0-r1
Wed Mar  7 10:46:14 2007 >>> media-plugins/audacious-crossfade-0.3.11
Wed Mar  7 10:49:16 2007 >>> media-plugins/audacious-crossfade-0.3.11
Wed Mar  7 11:42:27 2007 >>> media-sound/audacious-1.3.0-r1
Re-emerging it again now just in case it makes a difference.

Anything else I should check though?

Thanks! :)

Some skins had a problem with the skin loader in 1.3. This will be fixed in 1.3.1. In the meantime I suggest downgrading to 1.2 or upgrading to SVN.

Hmm... I downgraded to 1.2.2 (and the plugins to 1.2.2-r1), but now it just seems to hand in the load process, the GUI never appears, but it shows up as one of the running processes. The only message that appears when running from a terminal is:
Code:
GTK Accessibility Module initialized
Any thoughts as to what might be causing the hangup?

Thanks!

Not sure what exactly changed, but doing the latest round of updates and removing audacious-crossfade has audacious working again.

Cheers!

I can get it to load, if I delete the play list. But the moment I load a playlist, memory usage sucks up what's left of my 2Gb and then load goes through the roof. I didn't kill it once, to see if it would clear after the playlist loaded. But no, the system hung. I want my xmms back :( Audacious has not been stable.
