I am using KWlan 0.6.0, a wireless config interface that easily lets me add wireless networks and use WPA seamlessly (unlike other wireless utilities I have tried). The issue I have is that when I start it, it tells me that it cannot determine my username, and therefore can't find my user rights. Then, if I start it as root, it will not enable my wireless device or start WPA supplicant. But, if I start it with my non-root user, then it enables the device but can't start wpa supplicant. Finally, if I close it, then open it with root privileges, then it starts WPA supplicant. And finally, when WPA supplicant starts, I try to connect to a network and it tells me that it can't get an IP address. I have had good luck with this program in the past, but now it is giving me problems.
If you have any ideas, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
