I would like to know how I can make this kernel parameter into an option.
my configuration option for agp is always
--- /dev/agpgart (AGP Support)
I can't get it to display
[] /dev/agpgart (AGP Support)
so that I can either leave it empty or let it be a module
I would like to use the xorg intel i810 video driver, and from some documentation I have seen, having
is the best option.
I am using the AMD64 kernel, is this the reason, and one has the option with an X86 kernel?

No man, it just means that some other component requires it to be installed into the kernel.
AKA - some other selection is built-in, not a module, and it requires functionality the agpgart component has.
You can make it a module if you can figure out what component depends on it. |
