Hello,
I've setup a new folder with ttf fonts, created font.scale and font.dirs files, xorgs sees them (xlsfonts command shows them), but those fonts are not present in xfce setting manager.
Thanks,
Sergey. |

Hi sergeyn,
I can't get what you exactly did but I never had problems with Xfce and fonts.
The way I do this is to put the new fonts in an existing folder under /usr/share/fonts/<whatever> (e.g. TTF or truetype; maybe you also can create a new folder, I never tried) and than run fc-cache -fv. This will update the font cache of Xorg and will show up if new fonts were recognized. And that's all. May you need to restart Xorg but I think the last time I did this I handn't to. _________________ I am /root and if you see me laughing you better have a backup. |
