Whenever I start knutclient, it loses it settings in the GUI, although ~/.kde/share/config/knutclientrc has the settings. The end result is that it loses all the information about the UPS name, where to find it, the nut user name and password etc, and I have to re-enter it on every KDE restart.

I am using knutclient 0.9.1 with nut 2.0.5-r1 on amd64, and all the setup works fine except for this minor glitch. Will appreciate any help!

it appears to be a problem with the domino style, and it is resolved with his comment:

The problem here was, that both domino and knutclient used the global config reader. Domino changed the actual group to "KDE" to get its needed information, but knutclient doesn't use groups in his configfile and thus, with assumption it is set to the default "no group", it didn't reset it before reading.

The following patch resets the group after reading in domino:
