Hello

I am tried to upgrade my kernel from 2.6.7 to 2.6.19. This server is connected to an external RAid via adaptec HBA

my external drive is divided into 2 drives 2TB (sda) and 600GB(sdb)

After upgrading my kernel I am getting the following error:
/dev/sda is not a valid block device

and if i do fdisk -l /dev/sda
/dev/sda doesn't contains a valid partition table

this is the output of my dmesg with kernel 2.6.7

This problem is solved

I removed everything related to kernel 2.6.19...
I emerged again kernel 2.6.19
I comipled the kernel using an old copy of my working kernel 2.6.7 under /etc/kernels/

I rebooted my system and everything seems ok...

Hope will help others

Dany
