Hi,
I have just bought one of the above. It is a very small digital voice recorder that has a USB interface for downloading files. I am having problems getting this device to work on my box. I have tested it at work on a windows box and it appears as a disk without any problems.
The first strange problem was that when I plug it in lsusb hangs (e.g. just doesn't report anything). As soon as I pull it out lsusb reports correctly.
dmesg reports that a usb device has been identified and an address assigned. /var/log/messages seems to be reporting a read error on the device (I apologize for the lack of specifics I am writing this in a bored moment at work).
I ran hal-info and the device shows up with all the correct device information.
I have a number of other USB devices that work fine (stick, shuffle, camera, printer).
I am not quite sure where to start tackling this one. I don't know if it's a kernel driver issue, a udev issue or some other configuration issue.
Help
Thanks,
Arnie |

Does it claim to be a Mass Storage Device? |
