|
|
Hi there,
I'm using KDE split ebuilds and I want to use knewsticker's integration into kontact. The kontact people told me:
Quote: | You need (of course) kontact from kdepim, knewsticker/rssservice from kdenetwork, and the newsticker kontact plugin from kdeaddons. |
I installed kde-base/kontact and kde-base/knewsticker, but I have no idea what ebuild contains the kontact plugin.None of kdeaddons-meta's, kdenetwork-meta's and kdepim-meta's dependencies seems related.* If you know more, please help!
Thanks & Regards
Carsten
*) I tried dcoprss but it didn't have any perceivable effect. |

You might need 'kde-base/dcoprss', 'kde-base/librss', and 'kde-base/knewsticker-scripts'. There could be others; I can post a list of all my kde-base packages, but I'm sure it contains many that aren't required for knewsticker, however I do have the integrated news ticker working. |

Thank you for the hint! However, I already have these three installed and it's still not working.
Correction: it is working now, but I have no idea why. Maybe a KDE restart was necessary. |
