it was working fine before. i dont know what i did exactly. i know it was working with nvidia-driver 1.0.9631. normaly it was enough to just delete :
Code:
rm -rf ~/.beryl* ~/.emerald*
but now this doesnt help :( also the beryl-manager icon is looking a bit strange...

i can see this error output :
Code:

beryl: dlsym: /usr/lib/libsvg.so: undefined symbol: getCompPluginInfo
beryl: Failed to lookup getCompPluginInfo in 'libsvg.so' plugin
beryl: Couldn't load plugin 'svg'
beryl: Couldn't load plugin 'cube'

** (process:9978): WARNING **: get_setting_is_integrated not found in backend ini

** (process:9978): WARNING **: get_setting_is_read_only not found in backend ini
Initiating splash
beryl: water: GL_ARB_fragment_program is missing
beryl: 'rotate' plugin needs feature 'cube' which is currently not provided by any plugin
beryl: Can't activate 'rotate' plugin due to dependency problems
Couldn't initialise rotate. This should not happen!
Reloading all options.
svg seems to be the problem, maybe the last world update destroyed something or something must be rebuild. any ideas ?

thx a LOT

beryl doesn't depend on compiz... so you don't need to compile compiz.
