|
|
I haven't used portage in a long time, so I thought I was more than over-due for an update. However, after syncing, and trying to emerge portage, I get:
Code: |
Calculating dependencies
!!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "portage" have been masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- sys-apps/portage-2.1.2.2 (masked by: missing keyword)
- sys-apps/portage-2.0.51.22-r3 (masked by: missing keyword)
- sys-apps/portage-2.1.2-r9 (masked by: missing keyword)
- sys-apps/portage-2.1.1-r2 (masked by: missing keyword)
For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or
section 2.2 "Software Availability" in the Gentoo Handbook.

I have ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~ppc-macos" in my make.conf, however, I should not even need the "~" to emeger some version of portage, eh? Has ppc-macos support dropped from Gentoo entirely, or am I reading too much into this? _________________ |

Not sure why, but according to this page, portage is not currently supported on ppc-macos. |

You are right! WTF!?! I fall asleep for a couple months and Gentoo Max OS X is no more on the ppc platform. Damn! I never get those memos. _________________ |

That's not entirely true...there are packages that are supported on that platform (see http://packages.gentoo.org/archs/ppc-macos/), but portage isn't one of them. Seems kind of silly, really...but I don't know when that happened, or how (I use x86 and and64, myself). |
