I'm configuring my keyboard and want to make back-button to tell konqueror to go back. Found this searching the web, but it doesn't work.
Code:
dcop `dcop konq* | head -1` konqueror-mainwindow#1 action back

I know lineakd has a plugin that can do this, but I just uninstalled it because sometimes it crashes and eats all my cpu power :(

You can enable this in all KDE applications that support this:
  1. Open KDE's Control Center
  2. Select Keyboard Shortcuts (under Regional & Accessibility)
  3. Under Shortcut Schemes, pick the Application Shortcuts tab
  4. Go the the Navigation section, then select Back
  5. Pick Custom, then click the button next to it (by default, it says "Alt+Left"
  6. Click the blank button next to Alternate Shortcut, then press the button you wish to assign
  7. Repeat 4-6 for any other actions/buttons you want to assign

Glad I could help. Please add "[SOLVED]" to the subject of the original post (unless, of course, you have more questions about this). That way, other people searching can see that there is a solution posted.
