I did a depclean recently, and it took out portmap, but revdep-rebuild doesn't pull it back in. So, somehow portmap isn't being depended upon by anything else, despite the fact that netmount is still installed and trying to call on it. Is there some USE flag or something that I should have set, did something get mis-marked in an ebuild, or what?

As far as I can tell, netmount only needs portmap if you have nfs shares in fstab. I guess if you do, then add portmap to your world file. I don't see baselayout depending on portmap, so I guess you have to do this manually. |
