I have a situation where our purchasing software is an AIX VT100 telnet server and am trying to turn a really old pc into a terminal for it. I install gentoo linux with no gui since it can't handle but am finding it impossible to get proper rendering of the vt100 characters in both directions. Does anyone have any experience with this? _________________ Eddie Carle |

there are several telnet clients you can use. netkit and bsd.
on X you can also try putty which was a lot of options you can modify.
you should also check if it is a issue with character encoding on the console. |

Kermit (CKermit) has a pretty good VT100 emulator as I recall, and its scripts
are pretty easy to program if you need them (get the manual if you want to
anything more than trivial logons).
