Hey.. I have a Pertelian monitor and I am trying to figure out what device I need to use to get it to work.

Is there any way I can display devices? E.g. /dev/sda is my Maxtor drive. How do I make a list of devices? I have no clue as to where this little monitor is located.

the command

Code:
lspci

will give a run down of the hardware on your system.

This? http://pertelian.com/joomla/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=43&Itemid=48

It's a USB device, so lsusb should reveal it. You will however require software to use it..

You know, I tried that, but it said it wasn't a command. I didn't know about lsusb. What toolkit do I have to emerge to use lspci and lsusb?

Should be pciutils for lspci, and usbutils for lsusb.

I was su'd to root.

Thanks for the info. I'm on Windows right now (had to do something and kdm was broken so I booted it quickly), so I'll check it out later and see if I can't get it working. Thanks :D
