Hi, I installed tetex 3.0. I chose to configure it systemwide with texconfig-sys. However, as normal user it doesn't see the /usr/local/share/texmf tree where a package is installed. Rehash I did. The ls-R file shows it.

Strangely, all the languages I commented out like bahasa, danish... still show up in the error message when i compile "latex myfile" and in the texconfig-sys window it says "no active config files". So, what else do I have to do?

Cheers

Ivo

check the /etc/texmf/texmf.d/ configuration. Is /usr/local/share/texmf the dist folder? Mine is /usr/share/texmf, but what matters is that it has to coincide the one in the configuration.

But what do you mean as a "normal user"? Root doesn't have problems? Then check the read permissions in that folder.

Cheers
