Hi ,
I couldnt run dvbscan as non-root user. "mplayer dvb:// " doesnt work either. even with sudo prefix. I add myself to video, no improvement.
has anyone run it as non-root user? |

Hi,
I always have the same problem, so I jsut change the permissions of those device files in order to let me run it.
Code: | sudo chmod -R a+rw /dev/dvb/* |
Really the proper way is to play with udev I guess, as that does not persist beyond a reboot. But I rarely run dvbscan, as I usually use Mythtv.
Cheers
